Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Chicago, IL is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, and design of steel frames and concrete members on power, energy and industrial projects. You will work on calculations, prepare specifications, and perform analyses under wind, seismic, and pressurization loads.

A hybrid schedule requires in-office work 3 days per week, with occasional travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering with strong academic background in materials and structural design.
• Knowledge of loads analysis for structural supports and design integrity.
• Familiarity with producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
