Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Civil/Structural engineer to apply materials behavior, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design on power, energy, and industrial projects.
You will produce calculations for structural documents and prepare technical specifications, performing analyses under wind, seismic, and pressurization loads, and detailing steel frames, concrete members, supports, and foundations.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering with strong academic background in materials behavior and structural design.
- Experience with loads analysis for structural supports and design integrity.
- Proficiency with producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and strong written/verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Create calculations to develop structural document designs and prepare technical specifications.
- Conduct structural analyses under wind, seismic, and pressurization scenarios.
- Perform design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, supports, and foundations.
- Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and field verification.
