Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to perform significant analysis and design for diverse projects. You will collaborate with the Structural Lead, engineers, and designers to develop concepts, run analyses, and communicate requirements on paper and in the model.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and 10+ years of structural experience with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of structural analysis and design with minimal supervision.
• Plan and conduct technical work using engineering judgment and established procedures.
• Ensure accurate calculation checks and quality control of outputs.
• Lead small teams or act as a lead on medium-sized projects.
• Communicate structural requirements clearly to draftsmen and other stakeholders.
