Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team in the US Southwest region. You will perform structural analysis and design for complex facilities, coordinating with leads, designers, and other disciplines.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural) with a PE license, at least 4 years of experience, and proficiency with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) and software such as Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required.
• PE license (PE/PEng) is required.
• Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional structural analysis and design for projects.
• Coordinate with Structural Lead, engineers, and designers to develop design concepts.
• Apply seismic and wind provisions as per US codes.
• Check work thoroughly and mentor junior staff.
• Take ownership of assigned structural scope to meet schedule and budget.
