Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the United States to join the design team and contribute to structural analysis and design for diverse projects. You will work closely with the Structural Lead, other engineers, and designers to develop concepts and translate them into drawings and models.

The role emphasizes ownership, quality, and timely delivery, with growth opportunities across semiconductor and industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform conventional structural engineering analysis and design
• Develop engineering judgement and problem-solving skills, and seek guidance when questions arise
• Take ownership of your portion of the structural scope and meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
• Coordinate with Structural Lead, other engineers and designers, and other disciplines
• Provide design concepts, complete analysis and design, and communicate requirements on paper and in the model
• Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective work with strong attention to detail
