Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced HVAC engineer in Warrenville, IL to design HVAC systems for laboratories and industrial facilities. You will develop integrated systems, perform detailed design calculations, and prepare equipment specifications.

Collaboration with engineers, PMs, clients, and suppliers is essential to deliver timely, high-quality designs. The role requires ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of HVAC design experience, with knowledge of TRACE 700 or

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
5+ years HVAC system and related design experience for lab/industrial facilities.
Proficiency in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.
Ability to create P&IDs.
Knowledge of relevant HVAC codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Design HVAC systems and solve a wide range of HVAC issues.
Develop integrated HVAC systems for commercial/industrial, control room, and laboratories.
Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of the detailed design phases.
Prepare design calculations, system designs and specifications.
Prepare engineering studies and assist senior engineers with reviews and client presentations.
Familiarity with ASHRAE and current HVAC industry codes and standards.
