Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced HVAC engineer to design and develop integrated HVAC systems for laboratory and industrial facilities. You will perform design calculations, prepare specifications, and support project teams, while collaborating with clients and peers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, an ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering, and familiarity with ASHRAE codes. Hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of HVAC, ventilation, heating and chilled water design experience for labs or industrial facilities.
• Proficiency with TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.
• Ability to create flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of relevant HVAC codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems and develop detailed designs.
• Support integrated HVAC system development for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Perform design calculations and prepare technical specifications.
• Prepare engineering studies and support project teams.
• Assist senior engineers and communicate findings to clients.
