Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to lead and contribute to complex HVAC system design for commercial, laboratory, and industrial facilities. You will perform design calculations, prepare specifications, and coordinate with engineers, PMs, clients, and suppliers to deliver complete, timely designs.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in TRACE 700 or 3D+, AutoCAD, and Microstation, with knowledge of

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of relevant HVAC system and chilled water system design experience for commercial, laboratories and industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in design flow diagrams and P&IDs; familiarity with ASHRAE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems and perform calculations for commercial, laboratory and industrial facilities.
• Develop integrated HVAC systems including commercial/industrial ventilation, control rooms, labs, and chilled water designs.
• Prepare technical specifications and engage with engineers, PMs, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely designs.
