Job summary

Eversource seeks a Senior Engineer to design and optimize electric distribution systems, applying DMS/SCADA and DER techniques. You will work across grid modernization initiatives, supporting control centers, field teams, and IT to deliver safe, reliable power.

Hybrid work is available; travel among MA/CT/NH may be required for project needs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical utility engineering, strong analytical skills, and leadership abilities to drive cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology required
MS in Engineering or MBA preferred
Minimum five years in electrical utility engineering or operations
Experience with distributed energy resources and grid modernization a plus
Strong communication and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

Support operators by optimizing the distribution system using advanced DMS capabilities
Serve as SME in real-time technologies like ADMS, SCADA, DER dispatching
Collaborate with IT and engineering to ensure DMS functionality and future enhancements
Assist in project documentation: need, scope, budget, schedule and risks
Travel between MA/CT/NH as required and be ready for emergencies
