Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts seeks an Engineer to support the execution, implementation, and maintenance of electric network modeling tools like DMS and Synergi Electric, serving control centers across the region. The role collaborates with IT, engineering, and operations to optimize the distribution system, advance grid modernization, and develop data-driven engineering models.

Requires BS in Engineering and 3 years’ utility experience.

Qualifications

Requires a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Three years of experience in electrical utility engineering preferred.
Experience modeling electric distribution systems.

Responsibilities

Optimize the distribution system using DMS functionality (AFR, LVM, DER forecasting).
Serve as SME in real-time technologies (ADMS, SCADA, DER dispatching, energy storage, microgrids).
Collaborate with control centers, IT, and engineering to ensure DMS functionality.
Develop project documentation including need statement, scope, description of technical solution, risks and mitigations, budget, and schedule.
Investigate new technologies and tools for grid modernization.
Develop data processing tools for engineering models and databases.
Support cross-state multidisciplinary teams for grid modernization programs.
Communicate grid modernization initiatives externally and participate in industry forums.
