SCRI Oncology Partners in Nashville, TN is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments, tests, and calls under supervision. You will route inquiries, manage referrals, and enter authorization details in the EMR, ensuring accurate patient records.

The role requires strong communication, office coordination, and familiarity with medical terminology. You will collaborate with the medical team to support efficient patient flow and care continuity.

Formación

• Proven ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.
• Experience coordinating front-office activities and appointments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Answers all incoming inquiries; assesses needs and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules patient external referrals and returning patients in the computer system per physician guidelines.
• Obtains and enters all authorization and correspondence relating to referrals in EMR.
• Maintains primary office scheduling template containing physician meetings, satellite schedule, rounding and call coverage.
• Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed.
• Demonstrates understanding of patient confidentiality to protect patient and clinic data.
• Follows policies to contribute to front office efficiency; covers other front office functions as requested.
• Prepares correspondence, memos and forms as requested by supervisor.
• May provide guidance and daily work direction to junior staff.
• May communicate surgery or test scheduling details and prep requirements with patients.
