Job summary

The role involves answering the appointment line, coordinating infusion and Provider appointments, and assisting nursing staff with faxes and rescheduling tasks.

The candidate will greet patients, verify details, and ensure accurate scheduling while maintaining confidentiality and professional service.

Qualifications

• Telephone, computer and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to learn new computer programs.
• Professional conduct with patients, physicians and team members.
• Able to multitask, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and verify information.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments; coordinate pre-op labs and testing.
• Contact patients to confirm appointments and procedures.
• Explain prep instructions and route to nurse when needed.
• Prepare paperwork for doctors, referral coordinators and files.
• Maintain confidentiality and an organized work area.
• Cover for coworkers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
