Mapfre is seeking a Claim Representative I, APD to join our team in a hybrid role with both remote and in-office work. You will help customers during unexpected events, process low-complexity auto physical damage claims, and use Guidewire to document and track cases.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years related experience; associate degree with 2–4 years ok; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Basic understanding (or ability to quickly learn) auto policy coverages and exclusions related to low-complexity claims
• Ability to identify claim types, liability indicators, and required documentation for proper handling
• Strong communication skills with empathy and professionalism in all interactions
• Effective time management and organizational skills to manage caseload and meet productivity expectations
• Familiar with claims platforms like Guidewire and other systems

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing service aligned with established standards and expectations
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and empathetically across phone and written interactions
• Identify customer needs and service opportunities, responding with urgency and care
• Maintain timely, accurate claim documentation and diaries, meeting open and close targets
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve low-complexity physical damage claims accurately and efficiently
• Use claims systems and tools to manage assigned caseload effectively
• Adhere to internal claims handling guidelines and external regulatory requirements
• Participate in training and development to build technical knowledge and skills
• Contribute to a positive, customer-first team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting team success
