Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for Casper, WY, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence four days a week and remote work the fifth day. You will join a multi-disciplinary team designing power-plant I&C systems, developing control narratives, and preparing equipment specifications.

Role emphasizes collaboration, engineering rigor, and ongoing learning through Communities of Practice, with travel as needed for design reviews and site coordination.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree is required and strong coursework in control systems.
• FE exam completed and Engineer in Training designation preferred.
• 3+ years in power plant or heavy industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on project teams with I&C engineers designing new power plants and modifying existing facilities.
• Prepare specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment and installation services.
• Assist in design coordination, calculations, and control circuit design for plant projects.
• Develop knowledge through mentoring, technical sessions, and on-the-job training.
• Potential travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews and field verification.
