Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to contribute to the design of new power plants and modifications to existing facilities in the Casper, WY area. The role includes development of process control systems, procurement specifications, and detailed I&C documentation.

The incumbent will participate in P&IDs, I/O lists, control narratives, and design reviews, with potential travel to client sites. Hybrid work requires in-office presence 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Ability to apply I&C engineering principles to project design.
• Proficiency with MS Office, emphasis on Excel and Access.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork and collaborative work habits are essential.
• Resourceful and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• This position will apply I&C engineering to design of power plants and modify existing facilities.
• You will support process control system design and procurement specifications.
• You will develop P&IDs, I/O lists, control panels, and network plans.
• You will participate in process hazard analyses and design reviews.
• You may travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites as needed.
• You will engage in mentoring and technical training to grow skills.
