UT Southwestern Department of Dermatology is seeking an Administrative Scheduler to support daily patient scheduling across outpatient labs, imaging, and procedures. This role requires coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and communicating with patients and clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.

With a focus on accuracy and customer service, the Scheduler collaborates with physicians and nursing teams to optimize scheduling workflows in a hybrid Dallas setting.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in medical office environment.
• Exposure and working knowledge of physician billing, medical collections, coding, surgery scheduling and/or patient access.

Mansioni

• Schedules all patients in accordance with established protocols, communicates instructions and appointment times.
• May complete patient pre-registration, insurance verification and out-of-pocket estimates.
• Collaborates with Management, Radiologists, Techs and Nurses to ensure efficient scheduling of department resources.
• Communicates scheduling information to Ordering Physician’s Office and coordinates conflicts or rescheduling.
• Manages Schedule Order workqueues and maintains service standards for contacting patients.
• Answers incoming calls professionally and handles high call volumes efficiently.
• Acts as liaison with other schedulers for coordination of multiple appointments.
• Maintains attendance standards and participates in scheduling system upgrades.
