Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments related to treatment and referrals, communicating with patients.
• Coordinate scheduling with departments to optimize patient flow.
• Interact with patients, families, providers, and staff to identify needs and resolve questions.
• Update patient and caregiver contact info in the EHR.
• Communicate with physicians, therapists, technologists, and nurses about scheduling needs.
• Prioritize scheduling requests and manage workload.
• Recognize emergencies and initiate appropriate procedures.
• Support department functions and assist with special projects.
• Assist with training of new staff.
• Triaged calls from referring physicians and patients seeking care.
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information.
• Assist with the financial clearance process as needed.
