Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator to manage referrals and coordinate appointments for our site. This role ensures patient demographics and medical information reach the specialty or outside provider, notifies patients of appointments, and tracks compliance.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per pay period, with a hybrid work model after a 90-day training period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AA/BA preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in outpatient physician clinic.
• Experience with referral/authorization processes preferred.
• Strong analytical and computer skills; excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology preferred.
• Familiarity with managed care preauthorization procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the coordinator of all medical care and test referrals for the site.
• Coordinates appointments and ensures patient information is received by the specialty/outside provider.
• Notifies patient of appointment and any testing requirements.
• Tracks patient compliance with referral appointments.
