Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Scheduling Coordinator to manage referrals and coordinate appointments for our site. This role ensures patient demographics and medical information reach the specialty or outside provider, notifies patients of appointments, and tracks compliance.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per pay period, with a hybrid work model after a 90-day training period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AA/BA preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in outpatient physician clinic.
• Experience with referral/authorization processes preferred.
• Strong analytical and computer skills; excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology preferred.
• Familiarity with managed care preauthorization procedures.

The coordinator is charged with the timely and appropriate scheduling of all patient referrals to specialty, hospital and ancillary providers as requested by OMC’s medical providers. Responsible for coordinating appointments, ensuring the patient’s medical and demographic information is received by the specialty/outside provider, ensuring that the patient is notified of the appointment and any special testing requirements, and tracking patient compliance with the referral appointment. **1.0 Full-time / 40 hours per pay period****Mondays to Friday /8 hour Day shift - no weekends or holidays****Hybrid after 90-day training period** **Qualifications*** High School Diploma or GED required.
