Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently, organizing, and prioritizing concurrent responsibilities and demands.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive health care environment.
• Demonstrated empathy and active listening in patient interactions.
• Ability to use computer programs and email in a business setting.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clinical staff to direct and monitor patient location and flow.
• Greet and check in patients using the scheduling system.
• Assist patients, families and providers, addressing questions and coordinating care.
• Communicate with providers and staff about patient needs and treatment schedules.
• Identify emergencies and initiate appropriate code procedures.
• Utilize the EMR and scheduling systems to verify insurance and authorization details.
• Support department operations and participate in cross-coverage or special projects.
