Job summary

HED is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Mechanical Engineering group. The role focuses on developing design documentation, performing calculations, and coordinating across disciplines.

You will grow your technical capabilities and take greater ownership of assigned design work in a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities include Revit-based modeling for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection, creating redlines, and supporting project engineers through design packages and QAQC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical sheet lists and set up projects in Revit.
• Contribute to BIM Project Execution Plan and coordinating with disciplines.
• Assist with mechanical submittals, RFIs and coordination with project engineers.
• Develop understanding of building systems and participate in QAQC per process.
• Attend meetings with project team and help manage workload and hours.
