Job summary

HED is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our Mechanical Engineering team. The role focuses on developing design documentation, performing calculations, and coordinating across disciplines with growing autonomy.

The candidate will primarily work in Revit on HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems, contributing to project execution and collaborating with project engineers. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 2+ years in the AEC industry are preferred, with strong

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in the AEC industry preferred.
  • Revit experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce the mechanical sheet list for projects and set up in Revit.
  • Participate in the BIM Project Execution Plan development.
  • Assist in mechanical submittal reviews and develop RFI responses with supervision.
  • Collaborate with project engineers on required mechanical system components and coordinate with disciplines.
  • Model components and systems in Revit for HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection according to code and client requirements.
  • Produce redline markups to delegate tasks such as ductwork and piping layouts.
