Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - EMS & Electronics to lead supplier development across multiple U.S. facilities in a hybrid role, with travel up to 50%.

The role commands an annual salary range of $146,000 to $215,000 and eligibility for a variable incentive program. Responsibilities include shaping supplier development strategy, leading a team of engineers, managing risk, and driving manufacturing excellence with Lean/Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the supplier development strategy for assigned regions, commodities, or business segments; set priorities and resource allocation.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers with clear performance expectations.
• Provide oversight of supplier capability, manufacturing, and capacity risk assessments; implement mitigations.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process capability improvement across supplier operations.
• Lead assessment of supplier production capacity, scalability, and readiness for forecasted demand.
• Ensure suppliers are prepared for new product launches, industrialization, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Establish processes for supplier capability assessments, audits, and development planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier readiness throughout APQP, PPAP, and launch processes.
