Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - Chemicals to lead a team of engineers focused on building supplier capability and capacity for the Chemicals category. The role is hybrid (remote/in-office) across multiple US facilities, with up to 50% travel and relocation assistance within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supplier development strategy for assigned regions, commodities, or business segments; establish priorities and resource allocation.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers; set performance expectations and development plans.
• Oversee supplier capability, manufacturing, operational, and capacity risk assessments; implement mitigation plans.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, process capability, and advanced quality tools for manufacturing excellence.
• Lead assessment and management of supplier production capacity and readiness for forecasted demand and launches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier readiness for APQP, PPAP, industrialization, and launches.
• Establish governance, KPIs, and best practices across the supplier network.
