Job summary

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is seeking a Global Category Manager - Electronics in a hybrid role from Beachwood, OH and other U.S. sites, with a salary range of $146,000–$215,000 and eligibility for a variable incentive program.

The role leads global category strategies across a $600M spend, collaborates with operations, engineering, quality, logistics, and commercial teams, and serves as the liaison to the Global Purchasing Organization, driving cost out and supplier innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience electronics manufacturing/sourcing for electronic components.
• No relocation is available; candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood OH, Charlotte NC, Highland IL, Menomonee Falls WI, Moon Township PA, Raleigh NC OR Syracuse NY.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead global category and sourcing strategies to drive Cost Out, DPO, Supplier Diversity Spend, Working Capital, Quality, Delivery, and Service performance.
• Develop and execute enterprise sourcing initiatives to increase leverage and deliver sustainable cost savings.
• Negotiate and manage strategic supplier contracts to maximize value and ensure supply continuity.
• Define and govern category strategies using market intelligence, should-cost analyses, RFQs, e-auctions, and supplier programs.
• Guide regional and cross-functional teams to achieve procurement and transformation goals with data-driven solutions.
• Drive supplier performance management and annual business reviews with key suppliers.
• Benchmark and implement procurement best practices to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Partner with business leaders and manufacturing sites to ensure uninterrupted supply at the most competitive total cost.
