Job summary
Ramboll is seeking an Acoustical Lead Consultant to join our California team in a hybrid role across multiple offices. You will lead acoustical projects, coordinate with CEQA lead agencies, and deliver state‑of‑the‑art environmental noise analysis for infrastructure, data centers, energy, ports, and transportation sectors.
You’ll contribute to proposal development, client relations, and detailed modeling and mitigation design while collaborating with Ramboll’s Environment & Health division to
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics related major and 6+ years in acoustical consulting.
- CEQA knowledge including IS and EIR processes.
- LORS assessment with CA codes and agencies including Caltrans/CEC.
- Experience coordinating with CEQA lead agencies and developing mitigation measures.
Responsibilities
- Supporting acoustical consulting projects and client relationships
- Developing and implementing project execution approaches
- Supporting technical analyses: environmental noise surveys, sound level analyses, computer modeling (CadnaA, SoundPlan, or similar), and mitigation design/specification
- Preparing reports, proposals and fee estimates
- Interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
