Job summary

Ramboll seeks an Acoustical Lead Consultant in California. This hybrid role involves project execution, client interaction, and independent work to support CEQA environmental noise assessments across infrastructure, data centers, energy, and transportation sectors.

You will perform noise modeling (CadnaA/SoundPlan), prepare reports and fee estimates, and work with CEQA and related regulations while collaborating with Ramboll’s Environment & Health division.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering, Science, or Mathematics related major plus 6+ years in acoustical consulting and CEQA experience.
• Practical knowledge of the CEQA environmental review process including IS and EIR.
• LORS assessment experience including California Government Code and local agencies.
• Technical expertise in noise and vibration impacts from construction, traffic, and operations.
• Experience coordinating with CEQA lead agencies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting acoustical consulting projects and client relationships.
• Developing and implementing project execution approaches.
• Supporting analyses related to environmental noise surveys, sound level analyses, and modeling (CadnaA, SoundPlan).
• Preparing reports, results, proposals, and fee estimates for clients.
• Interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
