Job summary

Terrestris is seeking a Junior Records Management Specialist to support the US Capitol Police Information Resource Management Division. Based in Washington, DC, the role blends on-site and telework, performing RM operations, data collection, reporting, and coordination across program offices.

You will assist with inventories, lifecycle activities, and RM communications while collaborating with RM leadership to enable efficient information management for the IRMD OIS program.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in RM analysis.
• Ability to analyze records data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
• Federal records management exposure and familiarity with RM IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support RM inventories by collecting, validating, and organizing data from program offices and liaisons.
• Assist with records lifecycle activities including transfers, disposal guidance, and destruction list reviews per retention schedules.
• Prepare and distribute routine RM communications for liaisons and staff.
• Maintain Records Liaison listings and supporting documentation.
• Participate in RM planning meetings and document minutes with follow-up actions.
• Support RM assessments and surveys by gathering data and preparing summary reports.
• Assist with training coordination for records liaisons and staff, including attendance tracking.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and data-oriented materials related to RM and OIS activities.
• Provide general business analysis support to OIS and RM programs, including documentation and presentations.
• Coordinate onsite support activities for records transport and inventory validation.
