Job summary

SoftWriters, Inc. is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to join our growing team in hybrid Pittsburgh, PA.

You will be the primary contact for employee technology support, handling hardware, software, and network issues while managing user accounts and devices. The role requires 3+ years in IT support/IT operations, strong Microsoft 365 experience, Windows troubleshooting skills, and solid networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support, IT operations, or systems support experience.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with ticketing systems and support workflows.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for employee technology support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, printing, and connectivity issues.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications.
• Provision and deprovision employee accounts and access.
• Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user accounts.
• Configure and support laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Manage software licensing and user provisioning.
• Monitor software utilization and licensing optimization.
• Maintain software subscription and renewal records.
• Participate in technology implementation and upgrade projects.
• Assist with application deployments and process improvements.
