Fredrikson & Byron is seeking a capable IT Help Desk Technician to join our hybrid Minnesota office. This role provides first-line support for internal users, with a schedule that blends in-office and remote work.

The starting pay is competitive and commensurate with experience. Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of help desk or technical support experience, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT Help Desk, technical support, or similar role.
• Previous experience working in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, and standard business applications. Familiarity with law firm applications is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client service skills, with the ability to support users at all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support and respond to Help Desk calls, emails, and walk-up requests.
• Monitor and document user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions for frequently occurring problems.
• Log support requests and elevate more complex issues to appropriate IT personnel as needed.
• Provide first-level hardware troubleshooting and technical assistance.
• Assist with the checkout and setup of technology, including laptops and other equipment.
• Assist users with converting documents to and from various formats.
• Support new user onboarding, including system and hardware setup, assignment changes, and equipment moves.
• Assist with IT projects and other related tasks as assigned.
