Job summary

Children's Cardiology in Atlanta seeks an Intake Coordinator to serve as the primary contact for patients and families, managing administrative intake and scheduling across departments. The role supports care coordination and customer service with medical staff, under clinical operations.

The position offers hybrid/remote work with 4-6 weeks of in-person training at the corporate office, periodic onsite events, and opportunities for remote work based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare experience including understanding of medical terminology; Medical Assistant preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years in an ACD Healthcare call center environment; scheduling experience preferred.
• EMR or Epic experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficient computer skills with a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service by listening and communicating professionally on every call.
• Handle high volume of incoming calls (40-60 per day) via inbound ACD.
• Schedule patient appointments for designated departments and coordinate with doctors’ offices to resolve discrepancies.
• Transfer and route calls to triage nursing, physicians, financial assistance and other departments as needed.
• Collect and confirm patient demographics and insurance information; enter data into scheduling system.
• Provide accurate appointment information and guidance to patients; address questions.
