Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to design and support HVAC systems for laboratory and industrial facilities in a hybrid work model. You will split time between the office and remote work, collaborating with engineers and clients to develop integrated systems.

Responsibilities include designing ventilation, chilled water and heating systems, preparing P&IDs and specs, and ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years of HVAC system design experience for labs/industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.
• Ability to create design flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for laboratory and industrial facilities.
• Develop integrated HVAC systems including ventilation, chiller, heating.
• Prepare technical specs and engineering studies.
• Support engineers, PMs, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely design.
• Review facilities for upgrades and present findings to clients.
