Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an HVAC engineer to design and analyze ventilation, laboratory, and control room systems. You will collaborate with project teams to deliver integrated HVAC solutions for complex facilities.

The role features a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two remote days, with opportunities to leverage automation and design tools. A strong foundation in ASHRAE standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years of HVAC system design experience for labs/industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.
• Knowledge of relevant HVAC codes and standards.
• Ability to create design flow diagrams and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems and perform calculations.
• Develop integrated HVAC solutions for commercial/industrial, control room, and laboratory environments.
• Prepare technical specifications for HVAC equipment.
• Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of detailed design phases.
• Assist senior engineers with facility reviews and upgrade recommendations.
