Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a patient registration and scheduling specialist for a hybrid role in the Milwaukee area. You will help patients schedule with the right physician, complete full registration, and verify insurance coverage to ensure proper payment for services rendered.

Responsibilities include triaging calls, guiding patients through MyChart and mobile app activation, and coordinating referrals while adhering to enterprise scheduling protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years experience required.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, cancels and reschedules appointments via phone for multiple specialties and locations.
• Triages calls to determine caller needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Encourages patients to sign up for MyChart and the Froedtert & MCW App and assists activation.
• Completes full registration including setting up insurance coverage and verification of registration.
• Processes referrals and coordinates with physicians and clinics as needed.
• Manages web appointment requests for assigned team.
• Checks e-mails and Epic InBasket regularly for changes and scheduling notifications.
• Understanding clinic locations and directions to guide patients.
• Follows detailed protocols and enterprise scheduling tools to ensure accuracy.
• Anticipates customer needs and resolves problems to ensure a positive experience.
