The position involves handling calls, documenting information in EMR and scheduling systems, and coordinating multiple appointments using a patient-centric approach. Prior health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience.
• Preferred healthcare environment experience with insurance knowledge and patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance information, deductibles, and co-pays for clinic services and document in triage software.
• Answer calls, take messages, and route to appropriate area.
• Document in electronic medical record and other essential software.
• Diffuse irate customers and resolve issues with sound judgment.
• Maintain knowledge of MCW scheduling and billing systems (IDX, Epic).
• Coordinate appointments for providers and therapies using a patient-centric model.
• Triage complex inquiries to senior staff as appropriate.
• Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, accounts, and filing.
