The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Services Billing Associate to support routine billing, scheduling and registration inquiries. You will verify insurance details, deductibles, and co-pays for clinic services and document information in the triage system and EMR.

Responsibilities include answering calls, routing messages, coordinating appointments across multiple providers, and maintaining accuracy in IDX/Epic scheduling and billing software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; education can be substituted on an equivalent basis.
• 1 year of customer service experience required; health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance information, deductibles, and co-pays for clinic services using triage software.
• Answer incoming calls, take messages and route to appropriate area.
• Document in electronic medical record and other software tools.
• Diffuse irate customers and resolve concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of scheduling and billing systems (IDX, Epic).
• Coordinate appointments across multiple providers and therapies.
• Triage complex inquiries to senior staff as appropriate.
• Perform data entry and filing of patient accounts.
