Job summary

Connect Force is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator in Plymouth, MI to keep heavy-duty trucks and equipment in peak condition. This hybrid, full-time role combines hands-on knowledge with coordinating repairs, vendor communication, and daily fleet operations to minimize downtime.

You’ll work closely with drivers, mechanics, and operations to schedule maintenance, track service updates, and resolve issues. A background in diesel systems and strong organizational skills will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy-duty trucks, diesel equipment, or coordinating vehicle repairs.
• Strong understanding of truck mechanical systems, particularly hydraulic systems.
• At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and operations personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn maintenance management software.
• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school experience is a plus.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate emergency roadside repairs and maintenance services for heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Communicate with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and internal teams to resolve mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
• Arrange maintenance services, follow up on repair progress, and ensure equipment gets back on the road safely.
• Work closely with operations and terminal personnel to coordinate solutions when equipment breaks down.
• Assist with transportation and lodging arrangements when breakdowns occur.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, service updates, and maintenance activities.
• Provide detailed updates to drivers, maintenance teams, and incoming shifts for smooth repairs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and fleet efficiency.
