Job summary

Stanford University’s Computer Science Department seeks a Faculty Affairs and Staffing Manager to lead faculty matters, oversee recruitment, and supervise staff within a core administrative team.

You will coordinate immigration for faculty, maintain records, and advise leadership on university and federal policies, reporting to the Finance & Operations leadership and collaborating with the School of Engineering Faculty Affairs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Faculty Affairs experience.
• Ability to manage a high volume of applications and long forms.
• Experience with visa processing (J-1, H-1, O-1, TN, E3).
• Knowledge of Stanford HR processes and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee faculty affairs: hiring, appointments, promotions, leaves, sabbaticals, and other personnel actions.
• Coordinate faculty visas and permanent residency processes.
• Maintain faculty records and prepare reports for leadership.
• Advise on university, federal, and academic personnel policies.
