Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Communication Center Representative in Madison, WI for a 60% FTE, 2nd shift hybrid role. Work 2:45pm-11:15pm three days per week, with every third weekend and onsite 1–2 times weekly at 610 N Whitney Way.

You will handle paging, messaging and appointment services and deliver exceptional customer service to staff, physicians and patients. Responsibilities include confirming/canceling appointments for designated clinics, answering calls—from room connections to organ

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare, IT, Business, or related field required
• 2 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Support paging, messaging and scheduling, and appointment services for UW Health
• Provide customer service to UW Health staff, physicians, and patients
• Confirm and cancel appointments for designated clinics during nights, weekends and holidays
• Handle calls, connect to inpatient rooms, notify on-call physician about organ offers, and implement emergency plans
