Job summary

Virginia Peninsula Community College is seeking an Endpoint Technology Support Technician to assist with day-to-day operations of the college's technology infrastructure and services. You will provide direct technology assistance to customers and IT staff, troubleshoot desktop and software issues, and serve as the primary level one contact for IT requests across multiple campus locations.

The role requires a flexible schedule, including potential telework, nights and/or weekends to maintain 24/7

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with hybrid learning environments and IT support.
• System administration and help desk experience.
• Experience in high-volume help desk environments.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including telework, nights, and weekends.
• Willingness to work at all campus locations.
• Knowledge of audiovisual systems, Microsoft Teams Voice, and desktop/endpoint tech.
• Networking and telecommunications knowledge.
• Ability to train faculty and staff in hardware and software usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the college’s technology infrastructure and services.
• Provide direct technology assistance to customers and IT staff for desktop/software issues.
• Serve as the primary level one contact for IT requests across multiple campuses.
• Provide remote support to offsite and mobile users and assist with project management.
• Maintain customer-facing websites, social media pages, and training resources.
• Assist with training initiatives and collaborate with IT teams across locations.
• Provide admin support for the campus ticketing system and generate leadership reports.
