Job summary

Endurance IT Services is seeking a customer-focused IT Technician to provide frontline technical support for end users on site in Hampton, VA. The role covers troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while delivering excellent customer service.

The 2pm-11pm shift and 100% onsite arrangement in Hampton, VA offer hands-on experience across office, classroom, labs, and other user environments. A strong ticketing trail and documentation practice are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required in IT/CS.
• Experience in help desk or desktop support.
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, printers, and basic networking.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support via phone, remote access, walk-up, and onsite assistance.
• Troubleshoot computers, operating systems, software, printers, peripherals, and network connectivity.
• Respond to Help Desk incidents and service requests, documenting resolutions and escalating issues when necessary.
• Install, configure, deploy, and support approved hardware and software solutions.
• Assist users with account access, password resets, authentication, and connectivity issues.
• Support technology needs across offices, classrooms, labs, and other user environments.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory records and assist with equipment deployments, refreshes, and replacements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams on projects, deployments, and service improvement initiatives.
• Follow established IT, cybersecurity, and data protection policies while delivering exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will provide frontline technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver who enjoys helping others and can effectively support a wide range of technology environments.

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite in Hampton, VA

Shift: 2pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience providing help desk, desktop support, or end-user technical support.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, printers, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload, document technical issues, and work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience working in a Help Desk, Service Desk, or technical support environment.
• Experience with IT ticketing or IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
• CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, or related industry certifications.
