Job summary

Virginia Peninsula Community College is seeking an Endpoint Technology Support Technician, a Technology Specialist II, to deliver end-user support across multiple campus locations and ensure ongoing 24/7 service.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing microcomputers, laptops, peripherals; training faculty and staff; and coordinating with teams to resolve complex technical issues while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with hybrid learning environments and technology infrastructure to support end-users.
• Experience in system administration and help desk support in high-volume environments.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including telework, nights, and/or weekends.
• Ability to work at all campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and repair microcomputers, laptops, and peripherals.
• Train faculty and staff in hardware and software use and end-user training.
• Use logic to evaluate alternative solutions and select best option.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Communicate status on tasks, projects, and tickets to management.
