Job summary

Virginia Tech is seeking a Computer Support Technician to provide end-user support to Undergraduate Admissions and select Enrollment Management departments. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair computers, and resolve technical issues to keep users productive.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, assisting with hardware and software, and occasional Audio/Visual setup for events. The role requires teamwork and a commitment to customer service, with a starting wage of $20 per hour.

Qualifications

Experience with installing, operating, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
Experience installing computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, or similar devices.
Experience with Windows and Mac Operating systems
Experience in providing good customer service
Experience with operating and troubleshooting Audio/Visual equipment
Ability to work within a team to meet departmental needs along with fortifying departmental procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

Provide end-user support to Undergraduate Admissions and other Enrollment Management departments as needed.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair computers and equipment, and resolve technical issues.
Assist with Audio/Visual setup and events when necessary.
