Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor in Albuquerque, NM. This hybrid, full-time role delivers confidential clinical services across remote, office, and client site settings.

The counselor conducts assessments, brief therapies, coaching, and crisis response, while developing training and improving client experiences. Collaboration with HR, leadership, and staff is key to effective referrals and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or related behavioral health field is required.
• Current licensure as an LMHC or LMSW is required; LPCC/LCSW/LMFT/PhD/PsyD preferred.
• Graduate or clinical training must include mental health, substance use, and brief therapy approaches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates on team projects to strengthen and improve EAP service delivery for employees, client organizations, and business partners.
• Provides consultation to employees and organizations regarding various workplace concerns.
• Partners with Human Resources and leaders to coordinate referrals related to employee performance and workplace concerns.
• Conducts clinical assessments to evaluate risk, substance use and dependency concerns, and appropriate level of care.
• Facilitates on-site support for teams after critical workplace incidents, including debriefing and psychological first aid.
• Represents the EAP at health fairs and other employee-wellness events.
• Develops and presents EAP orientation sessions for employees and managers.
• Supports and collaborates with colleagues to foster a high-performing, team-oriented environment.
• Builds and maintains relationships with colleagues across departments and levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
