Job summary

Farmers is seeking a Direct Sales Representative in Phoenix, AZ, to respond to calls, promote insurance products, assess customer needs, and close sales. You will be part of a January 2027 class, working hybrid with in-office and virtual days.

The role includes a guaranteed base pay and uncapped commissions, with significant upside for top performers. The ideal candidate has at least one year in sales, holds a Property and Casualty license, and can meet quotas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales environment.
• Property and Casualty License.
• Proven ability to meet quotas, metrics and goals.
• Desire for a long-term career within the insurance industry.
• Proven ability to take initiative, solve problems, and prioritize tasks.
• Direct sales skills, and the aptitude to influence customers and close the sale.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex policy information clearly.
• Must be eligible to obtain resident/non-resident property and casualty license in all required states.

Responsibilities

• Sell insurance products to inbound callers by gathering data from customers to generate quotes and bind the business; may make outbound calls.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships, educating customers regarding coverages and costs to select the best option.
• Qualify customers as buyers of other products/services to create cross-sell and upselling opportunities.
• Navigate multiple computer systems while seamlessly interacting with the customer.
