Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced development team. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability and scalability of services in AWS (EKS) and on-premise environments.

The role supports a customer-on-site rotating schedule in Hanover, MD, with some work from the Columbia, MD office. Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required; US citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or higher; multiple paths accepted as outlined.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and their use in deployment/management.
• Proficiency with Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with application/container/OS deployment, scaling and management.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and related devops tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS).
• Support on-premise and portable Edge infrastructure deployments.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
