Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong Kubernetes and AWS experience, with Terraform/Ansible for config management and Python/Bash scripting.

The role is hybrid, requiring about 1–2 days per week in the Columbia, MD office. You will help automate deployment, ensure monitoring and scalability, and support edge and cloud infrastructure in a DoD-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification (Security+ or equivalent) or to obtain within 60 days.
• 5+ years in DevOps engineering or software development with related degree; or 3 years with a Master's.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Proficient with AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) for infra deployment.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure development in AWS, focusing on EKS and scaling.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and performance.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate applications into the infra.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Stay current with new tech to improve infrastructure and processes.
