Job summary

Reliant Credit Union in Sodus, NY is seeking a Desktop Support Administrator to join our IT team. This role provides end-user support, maintains desktop hardware, and performs OS and application upgrades to keep systems secure and up-to-date.

Responsibilities include managing assets and licenses, implementing patch management, and coordinating with the Systems Administrator on AD access control. A flexible in-person presence at HQ is expected with some remote work options.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in computer science desired.
• Two years of related work experience; related experience may substitute education.
• Industry certifications beneficial: A+, Security+, Network+.
• Ability to analyze and solve system issues.
• Effective communication with vendors and coworkers; translate technical info clearly.
• Interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user technical support to staff to resolve operational problems quickly.
• Ensure security of desktops, laptops, and printers; keep environment virus-free.
• Perform OS and application upgrades as needed to maintain current levels.
• Maintain inventory of computer assets and software licenses.
• Maintain a patch management program for security patches and upgrades.
• Manage Active Directory logins and security under guidance of Systems Administrator.
