Job summary

Municipal Credit Union is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in New York to maintain computer systems, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices. You will install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade hardware while ensuring optimal workstation performance and provide end-user assistance as required.

The role covers server support, patch management, and business continuity planning, with a strong emphasis on timely problem resolution and clear communication with colleagues and members.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Linux servers preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot desktop and network hardware.
• Strong communication with users and team members.

Responsibilities

• Server building and maintenance.
• Workstation and server monthly patch management.
• Business continuity planning and execution.
• Assist users with IT incidents and tickets.
• Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT ticketing system.
• Collaborate with Technology team to ensure efficient operation of desktop environment.
