Job summary

Municipal Credit Union is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in New York to maintain desktops, servers, and mobile devices, performing patch management, hardware installs, and user support with a focus on reliability and security.

You’ll join a team that prioritizes people helping people, participate in business continuity planning, collaborate with IT colleagues, and provide timely end-user assistance while maintaining high service levels.

Responsibilities

• Server building and maintenance.
• Workstation and server monthly patch management.
• Business continuity planning and execution.
• Assist users with IT incidents when called upon.
• Own issues through problem analysis and fixes to restore service.
• Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT ticketing system.
• On-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and implement corrective solutions.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user and network hardware, peripherals, devices, software and other products to deliver desktop service levels.
• Collaborate with Technology team members to ensure efficient operation of the desktop computing environment.
• Receive and respond to incoming calls and work orders regarding desktop problems.
• Liaise with third-party support to resolve problems with desktop equipment and department software.
• Assist at helpdesk during staff shortage occurrences.
• Maintain excellent verbal communication skills across the organization.
• Recommend and implement upgrades on systems for longevity.
• Perform related duties consistent with the scope of the position.
